Simply put i'm starting over Sonic and the TimeShifter. Why you may ask?? Well...

I was originally gonna re-write Chapters 1 & 2, cause how much they sucked (i'll admit it, they were terrible). Recently i have been helping out my friend

out with his fic. Sonic: Edge of Tomorrow. In the process I gave him permission to use my FC Ben, after talking about it, changing a lot of the back story up, making improvements and such i realized that 1) I like the EoT version of Ben A LOT better, 2) I really wasnt liking where the plot was going with this version of Ben, feeling i can make several adjustments to what i have and such, 3) Now that i think about it i kinda wrote myself into a wall...

So with the help of

who helped me do Chapter 7, i will completely redo the story. I feel like i can do this now since i really didnt get much into it. I didnt wanna continue and do a Deus Ex Machina in replacing the character with other version (wasnt gonna pull an Archie "Genesis Wave" crap) So starting over his the best option. Plus i can omit chapters 3-4 of this version and perhaps do something better with the space.

Will i completely abandon the Original Story?? Not really, i may keep it going over time and have everyone decide which one was the better version. But right now i'm focusing on the newer version of Sonic and the TimeShifter

I wanna give you guys the best fan fiction of Sonic i possibly can. Bare with me everyone, i gotta a lot of work to do. Hopefully you will like the new results.

I know.

I just feel like i can do better, plus with a newer version of my FC i think the story will flow better. I really wrote myself into a corner and its to the point where i dont like where i went and i cant really change it.

I like the "Guy who lost everything" aspect but the whole "enlisted because he had no other choice" to becoming a "solider of legend" thing is where i lost interest.

The original Sonic TDAT was written before the Wind Guardian element was implemented into Funnel. I'm planning on Cloe to drop in as well.

The 5 bullshit myths of concept art.Concept art is getting bigger and bigger. More people know what it is nowadays, it gets shown in the media more often and more books get released. This automatically results into more people wanting to become concept artists. So many artschools are now creating special courses all towards game art or concept art. (Game art can also include UI design, 3D modeling etc.).
Yet it is a fairly new thing to most people and the idea of "becoming a concept artist" has grown rapidly over such a short time that a lot of people who are new to it seem to get a lot of misguide info. I am going to try to list this misguided info and direct you to the correct info.

Notes on Character Design
I received the question pictured below at my tumblr blog. In case it's useful to anyone here, I decided to go ahead and use this otherwise dormant journal to share the article I put together in response.
Character design and drawing are tome-sized topics and even if I had all the answers (I don't - I have a lot to learn), I'm not sure I could communicate them effectively. Here are some thoughts an ideas that might help, though.
